The OCC is a charity that receives no government funding and is not part of the NHS – we are entirely reliant on donations to provide osteopathic care to every child that comes through our door, regardless of their parents’ ability to pay.
Our clinics have provided than 22,000 treatments for babies, children and women in the peri-natal period every year. We train new osteopaths through our DPO programme, and a team of our osteopaths work in neo-natal units in three London hospitals, helping raise awareness of the role of osteopathy in children’s wellbeing. Without donations, we would simply not be able to keep the OCC open and continue to make a difference in the lives of thousands of children.
An idea of costs for 2014/15:
- An assessment and treatment for a new patient costs us £80
- A follow up treatment costs us £40
- To fully train an osteopath in paediatrics cost us £4305 per year
- To keep the OCC open costs us £3850 per calendar day
Regular donations are the best way to help us plan for the future. Your monthly donation would be valuable to us no matter how small it may seem.
